DVD/Blu-Ray Coming November 17th

Yeah, a mesh error.

 

I have two copies of the film...from unnamed sources...

The one showing the theatrical version has the weapon laying on the platform in the overhead shot.

In the version from the DVD...the weapon is gone. They did indeed fix that shot.

And Im looking at the last scene of the Enterprise now, and I can't see anything resembling an error. What specifically do you see?

 

On the BluRay version the gun os also gone.

Look at the impulse-spine (or whatever it could be called), there are three glowing stripes and on the middle one there is a very noticable flickering (no lense flare ) above.

 

Yeah, that's the scene.
Once the pylon clears the view of that part of the ship again the error becomes very visible.

 

It's a very minor thing, btw.
Nothing that takes away anything from that movie

I don't mean this in any mean way at all I'm just seriously curious. What are you talking about? I don't see anything.

 

Please post or PM me details on your disk drive, as I am looking for one to buy. Your price is much better than what I have seen so far, especially for Blu-ray capability.

 

Check the starship simulator on the second Blu Ray disc. If you go from the top view to the aft view you can see the error appear on both sides of that structure.
You can't see it in the picture that is attached to M'Sharak's post.

Me 3: I do have the Bluray but I still don't get what you mean. I admit to massive ignorance in the wayz of cgi.

 

It's probably there but its such a small error that no one really noticed it, because I didn't either, than again it could have been a problem with that theaters copy of the film.

 

Think I've worked out the difference.

The one with the Kirk, Spock and Uhura cover is the "normal" special edition.

The ones with Kirk, Spock or Nero individually on the cover are "limited" special editions, with exactly the same features inside.

$5 extra for slightly different packaging? Not for me...

 

It is indeed only a small error, but not a fault of the copy I've seen in the cinema. It's a fault in the model of the Enterprise.

You can see it in these shots: there is light spilling through the hull above those four large light-stripes:

That is not a mesh error, it is the left falange.

 

I know a mesh error when I see it, and that is one, trust me
