Dammit, now I'm hungry for some steak with brown mushroom gravy, potatoes and corn on the cob... none of which I think I can stomach since I have the flu
well somehow i buggered my minecraft up and had to reinstal it. So now i'm 1.8.1 though on my laptop i have a 1.5 something or other. oh and some jar files which i assume are patches for the versions up to 1.7.3. can any of these be copied over to the 1.5 file somehow and used to update that to 1.7? or not really and i'm better off staying with 1.8?. I trtied a program called mc nostalga and that's how i buggered up my minecrsaft last time (well something i did anyways)
Found my first stronghold underneath my house. Explored too far, had a fun time trying to find my way back to the surface. I'd forgotten how easy it was to get lost without warpmod and scavenger to help you out.
A double creeper attack blew up my house, releasing all my items out of my chests, and I lost all my items to the cave spiders in my stronghold... Yeah, I'm going to go play Creative now. [/partial rage quit]
The world does seem a lot more lively now with the new spawn system. Instead of having to hunt down a spider for some string, there's about 15 of them in your face when you walk out the door.
That's why unless you build something really tall ,that I like to put some cactus on the roof I've always really hated spiders dropping down on me just by coming out, and it doesn't matter if it's day or not.
I think it would be completely cool to make Pong in Minecraft. And I believe it may be completely possible. Any thoughts?
It's been done multiple times, with varying amounts of success. Every attempt I've seen has had poor control speed and playability (because of all the repeaters needed), but it's entirely possible. Look it up on YouTube.
The redstone experts have moved well beyond pong and have developed Minecraft versions of a number of classic games. My favourite is the Minecraft version of Duck Hunt purely because of the completely confused Asshole Dog.
I was thinking of one that could actually be played, using a flat bit of land and pistons. As for the ball? Melon?
Oh wow, that's awesome. And hilarious, if only for the wolf popping out when you miss. Though, I'd purposely try shooting the wolf after the first few misses. Just because.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/ Ohh, Nether updates coming in 1.9. Structures and bridges (Just hope they're Ghast-proof) created out of a new block type. Castle of the Dark Lord of the Nether perhaps?
OOooh. NETHER STRONGHOLDS. I bet those would be tough. I've been kind of wondering if the Nether wouldn't get incendiary Creepers, since it seems like a pretty fitting counterpart to normal Creepers.
I'll be glad to see the Nether get some new material. I've never found it that interesting because it's so monotonous. They don't have to go full-on biome crazy or anything, but it wouldn't hurt to have some more variety there.
Another new mob for 1.9: At first I thought it was the killer snowman mob I've been hoping for ever since the Halloween update, then I learned that it's friendly, it throws snowballs at hostile mobs and you actually have to craft it yourself. Also, it melts in hot biomes.
