In my recent travels through London and Glasgow, several newsagents were displaying the official letter explaining that a new factory had been secured to start making the models.

Hey 8of5, have you heard any further rumblings of this being rolled out to other markets outside the UK?

Encouraging to hear it's in demand enough to warrant such information being prominent.

Nothing much, they replied to someone asking about that on their Facebook page saying something along the lines of: They're looking into it, but nothing confirmed yet.

So people in the US and UK are going to be able to order it, but where does that leave those of us in Canada?

Well, at the very least, they'll undoubtedly start turning up on eBay soon after they're released, giving us a chance to get our hands on them that way, like the Furuta models.

The list is really exciting, since a great many of these have never been put into ship form. (How on earth are they gonna do the Fesarius, which looks like a 1970's Christmas ornament?) I'm really exciting to see pretty much every ship seen in "First Contact" (including the Akira!!!), every Jem'Hadar ship, the Hideki class, .

Looking at the extensive list, the only ships I can think that aren't on the list I'd like to see are the Andorian ship, the Centaur, the 22nd Century Intrepid, and the second Vulcan starship.

Have Canadian comic book stores been getting the weekly DC Chesspieces partwork? The Batmobile partwork? The Marvel miniatures partwork? AFAIK, those have been distributed through the monthly Diamond Orderpak. Our Aussie comic shops have been getting them in that way.

I just read this on Memory Alpha:

If this is true... w00t!! Just let me know where to send you my money, Eaglemoss! :)

And for our European and Australian friends:

I hope this line is very successful for them!

Well I've subscribed, just have to see how this goes. They're planning 65 ships, including the Cardassian Hideki and some Dominion Ships, so guess I'll be clearing a display case out!

I hope it's not like the Star Trek DVD collection - my ex's mum got to the last one, and it never arrived. When contacted, she was told that they stopped doing them, and they had none available.
