had long ago decided to

 

trust Uhura's instincts and opened

 

his hand so that she

 

could smell it and know

 

just how much garlic he'd

 

devoured this morning. His breath

 

wasn't as awful as it

 

would have been if he'd

 

also eaten a large, spicy

 

proportion of garlic flavored garlic

 

served with some garlic breadsticks.
