I do not know anything bout his Ultimate version. Looking it up I can not see how that would fit into the Avengers?

That being said, I am very much looking forward to this movie. They severely mangled my favorite X-Men storyline (Phoenix), but they still have a chance to redeem themselves with Days of Future Past, my 2nd-favorite X-Men storyline.

 

^Well that was by different people, so it's not entirely fair to judge DoFP by The Last Stand.

I wonder if we see Magneto in the costume he wore at the end of First Class?

 

There's a still in the linked of young Erik stealing his helmet. So I would imagine we would see him in costume again during some point in the film.

To paraphrase Colonel Worf- "how could this man be walking?!"

If this is a still, looks like maybe we will get an explanation as to why Xavier was walking in the X-Men 3 flashback (and XMO: Wolverine)

 

^He could be (and could have been) projecting himself.

 

It appears Magneto will be a prisoner. It will be interesting to see how he is contained, given the use of a plastic cell in the films that take place later. Maybe authorities learned their lesson from an earlier escape.
