Entertainment on-line is reporting that the Dark Knight is approaching a combined domestic and international box office of 1 billion dollars.

Believe they said it would be like only the 3 or 4th film to reach this level on a total worldwide basis.

Rumor, is Warner Brothers is considering adding an additional 200 theater in near future.

I was just looking at the film's numbers the other day, actually. It's close--about six million and change short. But, from looking at the diminishing returns, there's no way that it will cross the one billion mark without Warner Bros. adding those extra theatres, or having another IMAX run as has been rumored.

It's less than three million from the big number now.

In Jan its due to be released in a limited way to make more buzz just before the Oscars so am sure it will cross the $1billion mark.

It just hit my on campus second run theater this week($2.50 a ticket) and it sold really well. Don't know what that means in the long run just thought it was worth mentioning.
