^Well, hey--in my defense, there are so many dang CHOICES that I didn't have a clue which of the main characters were not in the poll....

    Ah, well. My bad.

Well, it does say "all-inclusive." I'd say it's a natural mistake. I hadn't checked to see if everybody was there, either - I guess I assumed that all main characters were, even laughably unsexy ones - I had checked only to see if the ones I wanted to vote for were.

"All-inclusive" meaning it features both genders and all the shows and movies. I thought about including every main characters, but there are too many options anyway and when I came to Neelix I figured people would just be voting for him as a joke, which would defeat the purpose of the poll.

Ezri, Jadzia, and Lefler for me.

Note I have no idea how Lefler's developed in New Frontier, and I absolutely adore what's been done with Zee in TrekLit.

What, I like nerdy girls that are brilliant and know how to have a good time. And the slug doesn't squick me out at all. :p

I only read back a couple pages but I can definitely agree with Seven as being a very vulnerable, wounded character.

And I'm surprised, if happy, by how well this poll is stacking up as a Dax fan, and especially as an Ezri fan. Only five votes back from leading the pack and only three from being in second? I'm impressed.

ETA: Devileyes, did you leave Robin Curtis' Saavik off the list on purpose? After all, she had two movies where Kirstie Alley only had the one.

    I hear ya!

Yeah. I have to conced that point. But I must admit, I'm put off, attraction-wise, by prickly defensiveness, and the erection of "walls" of this kind.

Like I've said...I'm not one for tomboys. ;)

 Well...one reason you see me whining a lot is that, for a long time, Ezri was first place--and then....

Nice to see the gap closing, though. :)

I think the key there is "wounded." Seven is not somebody I could see myself being in healthy relationship with at this point, because I don't think I'm mature enough to help handle the trauma she's been through.

Funny that, because one of the thing I like about Zee is that she retained some of that smirky, snarky, tomboyish Jadzia-ness.

^Well, it seemed to me that, while did have some nice "snarky" moments (particularly with Worf), she still had a lot more of a feminine "air" than Jadzia.

Call me crazy, but I think that by the time Ezri "hits it off" with Julian, she shows a great deal of style, in the "glamerous" sense. When she interacts with Julian in "Dogs of War" and the finale, she often tosses him a mischevious smile, and assumes a generally "hot" posture....

(Bump. Why do I always seem to get the last word...?)

Okay. Might as well update the record.

    Top five:

    Seven's still first--56.

Jadzia's somehow holding on to second--54.

    Ezri's in third--51.

    T'Pol's still fourth--47...

    And...Kira's still fifth, with 41.

(Hey...where's that riot Geckothan was threatening to start? Ah, well...maybe it's all for the best....)

I am really surprised that Ezri did so well, she came in rather late to replace Jadzia when the actor Terry Ferrel decided to leave the show, I really didn't think that she had left such an impact on my fellow Trekkies and Trekkers!:wtf:

I dunno man, coming in at #3 and #6 (respectively) for all female ST charactes is pretty impressive, IMO.

I'm surprised but impressed at the taste of my fellow Trek fans. ;)

I'd mark it down to DS9's general respectedness (note 3 of the top 5 women are from DS9), Season 7 in particular being well-regarded, and Nicole deBoer being absolutely wonderful.

Well at last the Doc got a little bit of love.

Are Scotty, Miles, Geordi, and him really that unattractive.

I trust Leila's low score is because the character is a one-shot and not because Jill Ireland isn't a babe. She's so hot even Charles Bronson was faithful to her.

^^^ Miles is cute. I'm not sure about sexy. He definitely had a few moments, but they were just that -- moments.

Scotty and Geordi are not sexy at all, nor is the EMH. I don't dislike them or think they're ugly, I just don't find them sexy. There's a difference. It's mostly a personality thing. Which is why I am also surprised at Ezri's strong showing on this poll. She's cute, beautiful even. But sexy? (I know, this argument has been done, over and over again. I'm stopping now. Don't come after me, Rush Limborg!)

True enough, GhostSaintFace and Kestrel, they did do pretty well despite neither having had seven seasons (1 and 4 respectively).

But they should have been 1-2, in my (completely unbiased! completely!) opinion.
