Excellent. The ultimate one-two punch. No sooner are they back on Terra Firma when it's detonating again!

 

They don't survive it. The movie ends there on a freeze frame of them falling, Thelma & Louise style.

 

Starfleet also seems to be a lot more militaristic. Maybe after Nero destroyed the Kelvin, Starfleet assumed that the Romulans were behind it and they're in a cold war type scenario. Kirk even mentions that if Nero surrendered it could lead to peace with the Romulans. Maybe in that type of environment, she joined Starfleet.

 

And hopefully we will see 'Cupcake' in the longer trailer next week.

Why do we want to see him?

We do not want a running cupcake gag between the flyboy and the beefcake do we?

 

Nope it's used for all types of people.

Don't get in pointless bar fights....always strive to lead an exceptional life you can be proud of....and never, ever put baseball cards in the spokes of a wheelchair.

 

There are a lot of comments about the trailer not feeling Star Trekish and I realized what it is: that trailer feels Star Warsy. Consider those city flyby and fight shots and they're straight out of the newer three SW movies.

And mainly, sorry, but those actors are WAY too young. You don't get to be captain of much more than a jet ski at that age.

 

Chris Pine is only two years younger now than William Shatner was when he filmed "Where No Man Has Gone Before."

 

Chris Pine is only like 3 or 4 years younger than Shatner was when he was cast in TOS...................
and the rest of the cast is pretty close to their counter parts ages. Actors are just in better shape and have better nutrition now so they look younger.

Seriously though the "JJ Abrams Trek haters" like using words like that to try and belittle the new movies.

 

I didn't feel any Star Wars. I did, however, get some Michael Bay vibes during the scene where buildings were blowing up and people were staring at them.

 

Well yeah.... (my bad!!!!) But you got the idea.

 

Seriously. This actually looks interesting.

 

My friend was drunk and trying to explain to me how she's going to get tickets to the Hobbit. It didn't really make sense. So I figured this was the perfect time to show her the new Star Trek trailer. Her response followed thusly:
