Just discovered this. Looks like they're restarting the whole Cerberus News Network thing again as promised (sans Cerberus) though weekly now instead of daily. Perhaps the daily ones will kick in in the week leading up to release. It should be fun if they're doing this ingame like ME2, only with a wartime dispatches type vibe.
I don't get to play or keep up with games the way I used to, but I've played enough of the last two to really look forward to this. Everything I've read and seen indicates pretty strongly to me that I won't be disappointed.
Here's a site giving away early access codes for the ME3 demo on Xbox. I managed to snag one earlier this morning: https://apps.facebook.com/xboxmasseffect/uk Be aware that it's a big download. Nearly 2 gigs, so clear out some HDD space or plug in a large USB stick in case you get the code.
Likewise. I don't buy a lot of games, so I like to know that the one's I do buy will last me a *long* time. Given that I still occasionally the first two games (on a moratorium for now, lest I get sick of them by the time ME3 arrives) I'm confident the latest one will be equal to the task. I keep telling myself I should go on a media blackout from now until release as I really want to the first playthrough to be blind (or near as possible) but they keep on releasing some really cool stuff.
I'm trying to be very careful about what I read and what I don't. I want stuff to make me more interested in the game, but not to spoil it. Anybody else gearing up to start a character in ME1, continue in ME2 and have him/her ready to go for ME3? (I mean have the character only recently finished for ME3, like the day or two before)
^Mate, I have over a *dozen* ready to go with a few more still in progress. I'll leave then as is for now since I'm sure after the second or third straight playthough of ME3 I'll probably be ready to go back to 1 & 2.
Oh, me too. Last count I had 13 ready to make the leap to ME3. I'm just curious to know if ppl are gonna start off with characters who completed the suicide mission 2 years ago, or on March 5th, 2012.
I have a male paragon infiltrator save from about a year ago. And I'm finishing up my female renegade adept playthrough right now (I might be done tomorrow). Those two will be enough for me for ME3.
I'll defiantly be starting off with Jade, my very first Shepard who I started both ME1 and ME2 with. After that...probably either my Male renegade or my loserShep. From then onwards it'll depend on what class I feel like playing as.
Well, I'm replaying my uber-Ruthless Shepard in ME2 right now because I missed a couple of things. After that's done I'll have six Shepards to run through ME3. But I'm thinking of starting up a brand new Shepard in ME1 because, while I have a male uber-Paragon, none of my female Shepards are like that.
Im gonna do the same thing. I started my fight with my renegade fem-Shepard, I'm going to finish the fight with my renegade fem-Shepard. That said, I will create a new Shepard with the sole purpose of going through all three in one long continuous run.
Welp, that Facebook app has proven to be a complete waste of my time. 5 attempts and counting today. Kind of burns my butt a little, but NBD, I'll just grab the demo when it goes full public I guess.
I'll probably do that eventually, but not for a while yet. For one thing, I just spent the last couple months on-and-off preparing three femsheps with unintended romance options (Miranda, Jack & Tali) just to see what'll happen if I import them into ME3.
Yep. Started ME1 in January, and I'm in the middle of ME2 now (still on disc 1, pre-Horizon - I'm kinda leery about my chances of actually finishing in time!).
^Depends on if you want a complete playthrough. If not then there's quite a few corners you can cut. Just be sure you have at least two loyal teamates by the end of the suicide mission.
I'm hoping to do a fairly complete one. Though I may try to get Miranda & Mordin killed, now that I think about it. Also, a word of warning for anybody doing this: uninstall Arrival. Or else the intro cutscene will trigger as soon as you finish Horizon and try to use your terminal.
Yeah, I thought that was a really mindboggling decision by BioWare. Arrival is clearly meant to occur after the Suicide Mission (as is Lair of the Shadow Broker). They should have just programmed both DLCs to trigger after Shepard returns from the SM.
