I really cannot fathom naming a child Anakin. Especially if it happened post-prequels.

It could! Mitchell was a movie riffed on Mystery Science Theater 3000. That just means your dog is named after a terrible Joe Don Baker movie. ;)

Plus, if your last name is Cochrane, right now the timing would be about perfect too.:p

Did he have a son named Daniel?

    Get it? Jack O'Neill...Daniel, Jack's son...Daniel Jackson...

    I'll just be leaving, then.

I met a woman who was named Rayna after a character in TOS. A good friend of mine has a dog named Kaylee, and another friend has a cat named Zoe.

If I ever end up with a daughter me and the girlfriend are considering Kira or (something I'm lobbying for) Juliet. The latter as much for the obvious classical reference as Lost.

We're done having kids, but if we did have another daughter, I think Jadzia is a great name.

One of my friends and his wife has named their eldest son "Jareth" after David Bowie's character in Labyrinth.

There are so many great female characters with cool names from Robotech. Miriya, Nova, Dana, Sera but I think Rook was the most badass character and had the coolest name.

Until recently, CNN had a reporter by that name too.
