It's the 23rd here so let the celebrations begin! 26 classic seasons! 7 new series! 1 American TV movie! 789 episodes! (106 missing ) 11 main actors! Dozens of companions! And most importantly... millions of fans!
Hey...at least you get you Star Trek Into Darkness as a 50th Birthday Present I don't let the number bother me, age is all in your head
You guys are so stuck in the past. Been the 23rd here for 15 hours. It also means it's 24 years since the world premiere of Silver Nemesis, right here in NZ. No I remembered them, just opted not to put them in, just like various spin offs.
American here (Still the 22nd here). Watching The Three Doctors now. Up next is The Five Doctors and then Silver Nemesis and Zagreus. These are the only Anniversary Specials I can think of in Film and Audio. Have I missed any?
The Three Doctors was the tenth anniversary, The Five Doctors the twentieth and Silver Nemesis the twenty fifth. The Two Doctors was merely a guest appearance by Troughton and Hines. It wasn't done on an anniversary.
I've just started (re)watching "An Unearthly Child". It seems the most sensible choice for this particular day. Doctor Who - classic Who - was my introduction to TV SF. I couldn't possibly have done any better.
I didn't forget the Two Doctors, I mistakenly dismissed it thinking it couldn't be an Anniversary, thinking that was too little time between 5 Doctors and Silver Nemesis (Runs off to look up dates) ETA: The Five Doctors Nov 23, 1983; The Two Doctors Feb 1985 - So how is The Two Doctors an Anniversary Special? I'll have to be sure I have The Four Doctors Audio prior to 50th Anniversary
