Hey all, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a fast paced space shooter game, like Zero Wing except with modern graphics? I remember seeing a Japanese game on NHK which was like this. Ideally are there any games where you're in the cockpit and blasting stuff? I've had a look at that Occulus rift game Valkyrie but it seems a bit slow/stately, ridiculously fast paced would be good.
Well if you want a fast-paced shmup you can't go wrong with a bullet hell shooter. How about Ikaruga?
So you don't want something like Zero Wing, which is obviously a shmup and not at all first person. You want something more like, I don't know, Elite?
I would like something with the speed of zero wing/gradius but from a first person perspective. I remember seeing a game like this once on tv.
That looks about right. Is BSG diaspora any good? I remember this game, it was kind of a third person space shooter, where you controlled this craft and it looked like a bullet hell game, I remember seeing it on Imagination on NHK around 2014.
