Apologies if this is a repeat thread but I've been on here a while and can't seem to recall seeing it before.

I know comedy has featured in Trek to varying degrees of success, so what's everyone's favourite funny scene or scenes?

I think the one that got the biggest belly laugh for me is from TVH, the 'do you guys like Italian? Yes, no, no, no, yes' scene. Spock's perfect deadpan delivery of the final 'yes' has me in stitches every time.

I'm also quite partial to the 'What is it with you anyway' line from Bones in TUC.

    Go!

I love Worf's homage to John Belushi in Q-Pid.
The head slapping scene in Little Green Men with Quark and the Army guy.
Iggy Pop as the Vorta in the Magnificent Ferengi is pretty funny too.

    From The Immunity Syndrome

MCCOY: Shut up, Spock! We're rescuing you.
SPOCK: Why, thank you, Captain McCoy.

Once again, as in the pizza scene you've described, Spock's delivery is just perfect. The level of sarcasm is just right here to keep it funny, and the scene is so tense, what with the music too, that you're really ready to laugh at something.

    DS9

Quark trying to tempt Odo in Q-Less:

ODO: I'll never understand this obsession with accumulating material wealth. You spend your entire life plotting and scheming to acquire more and more possessions, until your living areas are bursting with useless junk. Then you die, your relatives sell everything and start the cycle all over again.
QUARK: Isn't there anything you desire?
ODO: I have my work. What more do I need?
QUARK: A suit of the finest Andorian silk? A ring of pure Surax? A complete set of Tanesh pottery? How about a latinum plated bucket to sleep in?
(Odo seems to consider it, then dismisses the idea)

When Odo looks briefly tempted by the latinum bucket idea, I just die.

    TNG

    Worf, Guinan, and prune juice.

There are a lot, so I may have to post frequently here.
Just a few to start with:

    From Voyager:
    "Get the cheese to sickbay."

    From TOS:
"You should make a rather convincing Nazi."

Mirror Ezri: I'm trying to save your lives.
Grand Nagus Zek: That's a very worthy goal!

    VOY: Body and Soul
I consider it one of the best Star Trek comedies, and I generally don't like scifi comedy. Jeri Ryan doing Robert Picardo doing the EMH is hilarious.

The scene where Data asks Worf to take care of Data's cat, priceless.

As pointed by the OP, the absolute beste has to be:

The funniest (consistently funny) character is The Doctor

Another thing I love about that scene is that it's not goofy or slapstick, yet still manages to faithful to Spock's character - in that he really didn't know what to do in the situation, so just reverted to agreeing with his superior officer and friend. Even the bits where he's saying 'no' the look on Spock's face instantly conjures up images of pizza seriously disagreeing with his Vulcan stomach.

It's such as simple scene delivered to absolute perfection.

Any scene where Scotty is drinking or otherwise under the influence, and the events that result from this, are good for a laugh from me.

Let's face it, a good chunk of 4 and some of 5 make the list for me.

Once the BoP gets destroyed in Generations, Data's fist-pumping YES! always makes me chuckle

There's an extra in the background that does a fist-pump right before Data. On the DVD commentary track featuring Braga & Moore, they mention that Brent Spiner will make sure "he'll never work in this town again."

My favorite comedy scene in all of Star Trek is when the tribbles all get dumped on Kirk's head in TTWT and the exchanges around it:

I like the scene on DS9 where the incompetent hitmen vaporized their target and left a big splotch on the carpet! Also, where Garak and Quark are discussing the Federation's success, after the Dominion War had ended.

I think I can come up with a few good ones from TNG.

    Deja Q

There`s a few gags in there I can`t recall, but the ones that come to mind are guinan sticking a fork in Q`s hand, and the Mariachi scene when he gets his powers back.

    The Dauphin

Wesley gets tips from the crew on picking up chicks. The scene where Worf just screams at him makes me laugh. And where Riker tries to show Wesley how to sweet talk a woman; which results in him giving Riker & Guinan a dirty look.

    Captain`s Holiday

Riker is telling Picard about all the women on Risa, asking `did I mention the women` and Deanna promptly responds `too often`.

    The Schizoid Man

    The eulogy that Data gives.

And then finally every time they tell Wesley to shut up.
