I came across this sci-fi/alternate history/comedy film when I was looking up information on Die Glocke and it has peaked my interest.
Iron Sky is supposed to be released in 2011, and as far as I know it is still in production.

I've seen the site and watched the trailers; this is by the same group that created Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning. It looks like it could be a lot of fun - I'm of two minds about it being a comedy, however, because the general premise would make a very cool serious sci-fi flick, one that mainstream filmmakers would be unlikely to tackle, either for financial or philosophical reasons. They look to really have their act together as far as the VFX go - I look forward to the execution of the live-action portions of the film.

You know, the Nazi warships remind me of the Defiant.

I'm finding a lot of Trek and especially Babylon 5 influence in those sketches.
