I was recently revisiting an old "classic" from the early days of the Web: Abandoned Missile Base VR Tour I'd love to see higher res photos, and I imagine the explorers have many more photos. I wrote to the author suggesting, perhaps, an ebook. It would be a haunting time capsule.
Wow that's great. I can't believe that site has never been updated. So what seems more antiquated today, the pics of the 1960s silo or the links to download Netscape?

cool site, Metryq! Thanks for sharing. I am not sure that there is really no life in those silos. There must be rather a lot of bacteria, funghi and maybe small insects. But those would all be too tiny to see, particularly with the lack of light. If the door stays open, there'll gradually be a few larger settlers, I'm sure Suitable habitats for cave-dwellers are rare nowadays.
