That might be a perspective thing.

The printing of the windows on the neck isn't very well aligned. However, this is only apparent when viewed close up and, given the price, it isn't a big deal. The models are kind of fun things to own and, being fairly small, can sit on top of my existing bookshelves without dominating the room.

I've ordered directly from Eaglemoss -- I'm not sure if you get the freebies* if you order via a newsagent or FP.

I wonder if some of the special editions are the ones that include the space stations such as the DS9 model shown on the website.

    * binder and access to the online version with the first delivery
Dedication Plaque with the second delivery
Future Enterprise-D Ship with the fourth delivery
Borg Cube with the sixth delivery

Reading through this thread and seeing the pictures has convinced me to go ahead and pre-order this. Part of the reason I love Star Trek is the ship designs, so this will be a fun collection to build up.

Same here, I've ventured away from collecting memorabilia over the past few years, but I've decided to subscribe to this.

By God, I think you're right. According to those blueprints, the neck is a bit less flared than I expected. So if Eaglemoss went with these plans (and CG model) I guess it's the more accurate.

I'm looking forward to Defiant and Voyager, as well as the Akira/Thunderchild, if the magazine lasts.

Issue #1 says the regular issues are £9.99 (Not £10.99)

I suspect the special edition containing the DS9 model might only be available to subscribers and after a year of so -- get people hooked into paying £19.98 per month and avoid losing the newsagents' cut.

Got my 1701-D issue 1 today and I love the quality of the ship, the magazine is very nice too.

Looking forward to the NX-01 when it comes out in a few weeks.

I'm also getting very interested in the magazine part of the subscription.

For the Ent-D and Constitution class and others, there's plenty of material to fill an issue.

When we get to the Akira class and Breen warship and Steamrunner... what we will get? There's almost no official or canon material on those ships besides the visuals.

What data and info will be in the magazine? What sources? What conjecture? Who will be writing about the Xindi ships, for example?

No. No articulating or removable parts on any model. Mainly for the simple reason of the way the ships mount onto the stands. Each stand is made custom to each ship and therefore has a unique way that the ship fits into it, so if you change something with a movable part, it might throw off the weight balance of the ship. For instance the wings on the B'rel-class Klingon Bird of Prey has its wings fixed in a straight out "flight" position instead of the downward slant that is "attack mode."

That said, the models I'm looking forward to the most are the ENT 22nd century-era ships. There will be the Klingon Raptor-class (the one they saved from the gas giant), the D-5 battle cruiser, Goroth's ship, and the Bird of Prey. There will also be the Romulan Bird of Prey. Plus at least 3 Xindi ships, the Reptilian, Insectoid, and Aquatic

^^^ I was wondering about that too. If you recall the mini-tech manual-ish "Starfleet Technical Databases" from the old "Star Trek Magazine" by Rich Sternbach which covered ship classes like the Constellation in unprecedented detail; I'd be happy with this sort of thing in the magazine. Yes, not strictly "canon", but Sternbach's level of expertise and behind-the-scenes information made them as close to official as you can get.

^^^ Did they say if it is the TOS version or the Enterprise one?
