Oh, bugger. I didn't know they did that...I gave up on Smallville long before the end (Except for the disappointing finale.) Sorry. :)

Even though Smallvile did it first I like the ideas of Lois knowing that Clark Kent is Superman. It is difficult to suspend disbelief with his secret identity anyway so the less they focus on it the better.

The secret identity has worked in various mediums for ummm 75 YEARS!!!!

I somewhat get the "glasses as disguise does not make sense" but we are talking about an alien who looks exactly like a human being who has the powers of a god. Yet doing away with the secret identity will make it more believable???

Superman is a fairy tale, a fantasy. Only with the superficial trapping of science fiction. The best way to explain the secret identity is that is a metaphor. On how we often judge people based on what they look like. Whether race, age, clothing, social status. That also we do not notice or really know people we see everyday at work.

The Comic-Con trailer from last year showed Clark in the process of putting on glasses.

Remarkable, just how much of an improvement ditching the Speedo is.

The costume over all looks great.

I wouldn't want to lose the angle entirely, just have Lois in on it. Other than that, there's nothing worth dwelling on. All the "Is Clark Superman?" stories have already been told, so having a secret identity is really just a means to an end to give Clark a day to day life that doesn't always involve catching planes and rescuing tree-bound cats.

But this movie will suck. Look at the lens flare in the image. How does Abrams do it?:scream::scream::scream:

Wait…I'm stealing someone's lines. Sorry.

I still think they could have done the trunks and kept it subtle. To me, the suit looks bare without them.

Looks like Superman hasn't noticed there is a job for right him going on right behind him. ;)

Looks almost dark gray rather than blue, unless he's supposed to have a different color.

Lois & Clark did that when Lois visited an alternate timeline where Clark wasn't Superman.

They also had a conversation that went something like this...

Clark: You think glasses aren't going to fool people?
    Lois: You'd be surprised.

Yeah, clearly that picture was modified. Not sure how much though. That is a real location for the film but it looks more like a publicity pose than a shot from the movie.

For those still wondering about the music heard in the trailer...Hans Zimmer posted in a forum that it was indeed from his score, and it was a slightly recut version of a longer track. He also used 15 drummers in the recording sessions. As a huge Zimmer fan, I'm really excited to hear the score. What I heard in the trailer was an exciting tease.

Those photos are awesome...I have no problems with the costume whatsoever, and Zod looks fantastic.

It looks like he's facing whoever caused the destruction behind him and is about to confront them.

I think I remember someone wondering if there would be heat vision in the movie. Zod looks like he's about to fry something here.

I love the suit too! I also was really impressed with this score from the trailer. I realized Hans had big shoes to fill and I really think he has done something wonderful!

I keep watching the Man of Steel trailer ovr and over, it really has me pumped and that soundtrack is outstanding. After Star Trek: Into Darkness, Man of Steel is my most anticipated movie of the entire year.

I'm the opposite -- Man of Steel, then Star Trek.

What's your third-most anticipated movie of the year? Grown Ups 2? :D

Those are my top two, in that order.
