The Sibley Guide to Birds, 2nd ed. My other Sibley literally fell apart, so I had to replace it. And sushi from a grocery store. I should know better. It was...meh.
Early this day mum asked me over for a beer & bitter, where we talked about x-massy-things; whom to invite for what and such. As I was on my way home, a couple of hours later, I thought it possible that my local Recordpusher (name of the store!) would have a copy of Jørgen Ingmann's 'Swinging Good Old Christmass' -which is the x-mas album of my youth (the only seasonal album my parents had) -and he did!! Being there I also bought 'Le nozze di Figaro' and 'Die Zauberflöte' and the OST from 'Subway' ...
The script of a play called Vicuña that I saw in DC this afternoon, and then dinner for my friend and myself afterwards. I went knowing almost nothing about either the play or the theater company, so I wasn't expecting anyone well known... but it turned out that one of the actors was John DeLancie!
A new kettle The old one died last week and it took me until today to find one at a price I was willing to pay (which translates to about 24 USD). (It's my fourth!!! -I hate planned obsolence.)
