Not unlike the early seasons of The X-Files.

In the first two seasons of that series, 13 episodes had to do with the mytharc (about 26.5%)

On Enterprise, there were 8 episodes in the first two seasons that had to do with the temporal cold war (9 if you count the double length pilot as two episodes, or about 17%).

The only time Voyager ever tried to do something so ambitious was with the Kazon and Seska during season two. Otherwise, there's really no comparison between the two shows in terms of their serialization and treatment of continuity.

What if it was the Cerealization. What would the toy in the box be.

    Plastic replica of Neelix's lung?

Borg sphere the size of a gumball?

ONE stick from a Kal-toh game (collect all the sticks!)

Toys for free are so crappy these days.

The toy surprises inside Crackerjack caramel popcorn snack are really bad now too. In the 50s and 60s, you could get little plastic rings to wear, a compass in case you got lost, maybe a little handheld pinball game... now they're a piece of paper with something printed on it.

And most did agree, very early on this in thread that VOY had some continuity?

Am I the only one who would have liked to have seen Year of Hell turned into a proper mini-arc? Maybe over five or six stories.

You are not. It would have been amazing to see it unfold more slowly. Plus with a two-parter viewers could be pretty sure the status-quo would return, whereas an arc would have kept us guessing.

As I recall from reading it on this forum which means nothing as to its truth Year of Hell was originally conceived to be an entire season.

That would have been so so excellent.

It would indeed. I'm a little unsure of the idea mooted that Tuvok would become an amputee as well as blind, though.

Brannon pitched it, and was shot down immediately by the network who assumed continuity meant that any one whop missed an episode would give up and no new viewers would join in because there was too much to catch up on.

    The usual sit y'know?

Spock had his brain removed and put back in his skull with no side-effects. I'm sure they'd find some alien doctor who could easily fix Tuvok's sight as soon as they could.

Of course, even if they waited a long time and had the explanation make total sense, the audience would still say it was a reset button.

Doubt it. But, let's just admit that neither of us has a crystal ball and move on from making hypothetical pronouncements about the audience.
