Just what Enterprise needed... a Lassie episode to make them look even more silly and incompetent! :p

    I'd rather not. I don't like dogs.

If he doesn't like dogs or cats he'd better like monkeys.

We'd better salvage something cool and humorous from this.

    Maybe he likes pygmy marmosets.

At least they never had Porthos talk.

Porthos versus the alien monkey from the old Lost in Space.

That would be a grand sight.

I used to have a cat. But he's like... dead and stuff now.

Condolences. I tend to switch when one dies. It's been cat, dog, and now cat again.

Whereas I prefer to go cat, cat, cat, cat, cat.

But anyway, not particularly fond of dogs but I've liked some individual members of the dog species well enough and Porthos is lovely.

My cat was a beast. 20 lb Siamese cat... killed birds regularly(thanks for leaving them on my doorstep!), a squirrel once, the neighbor once complained my cat was harassing his dog, but age got to him. It reached a sad low point when he's just sitting there wearily, a bird lands three feet away, takes his food... uses his water to soften it... and eats it and he's just too tired to care. Oh well. :p

My dislike of dogs.... well I'm fairly certain that stems from my leg getting mauled by one as a kid.

Ouch. I got bit in the leg by a pig a few years ago, and it was deep. I'm wary around large dogs because when I was 5, a neighbor's two boxers ran up to a fence and scared me.

No, one of them was not Mike Tyson.

I've never had a bad dog experience, but I prefer the introversion of cats.

I love both kinds of animal. They're equally entertaining and loving in their own individual and special ways.

That's never good experience. It's amazing the things you remember vividly and for me getting bitten was one of them. I can remember looking into the wound and seeing my muscle tissue before the blood started coming out, the dog's jaw moving up and down as he was actually chewing on the chunk of flesh he ripped off... guess it's a good thing he decided to find something better to eat! :p

But yeah, that just ruined dogs for me. Even my best friend's dog, who I'd been around for years made me insanely nervous every time I saw him from that point on. Funny thing memories and perception.

I'm still not comfortable around big dogs. My favorite was a boston terrier, which is actually smaller than I prefer, but he was perfect for an apartment and had a wonderful personality.
