Apparently; The series will start broadcasting in 2012,[5] with a special sneak peak airing on December 17, 2011.[4]

I will check this out sometime this weekend...but I was unaware of a new series. Transformers Prime S2 is suppose to air in early 2012...the more Transformers series the better I guess.

Anyone check this out this Today?

I don't think it's for us older fans. I think it's for munchkins.

Yeah, I think i'll give that one a miss. Prime is fantastic though, I think that's one of the best sci-fi shows on TV right now, even though it's essentially for kids. It really reminds me of the G1 show from my childhood.

I've only seen half of the first episode, but I enjoyed it. There's some heavy stuff in the beginning, most of which is implied (that Cybertron is dead, the war is over, the Rescue Bots are the last of their "kind" etc.). While cartoon-y in appearance (heh), the show feels a lot like "What if Eureka had Transformers in it?". I'm looking forward to watching more.
