My holiday user name really should have been Mayan Apocalypse.

"Sorry guys. I slept in. The End Of The World has been canceled due to inclement weather, an upper respiratory thing, a new lease on life, or I just don't feel like it."

Yup. It's six hours out... No horsemen... no fire... just the end of the Baktun, move along. :D

What is the "end of the world" supposed to look like anyway? I mean...what were we really expecting to happen? Zombies? The Earth to explode? A huge asteroid? Maybe the Apocalypse did happen, but it's much more subtle that we were expecting. Maybe it will take a while for us to notice the effects.

Millions of people are still watching and liking Two and a Half Men. Sounds like a subtle, very sad Apocalypse if you ask me.

We've been doomed for years now and we never realized it.

Well I was expecting the sun to rise and set as normal, and the Earth to continue it's orbit around the sun etc... :p

I was having a nice last day at work before Christmas break, but then I started getting pain twinges from another kidney stone. (I've had well over 50 total, lost count years ago.) If the apocalypse is going to happen, it had better start soon before this stone starts causing some *severe* pain.

(Not looking forward to the next few days now. :weep:)

^^ Ouch. I've had four and I thought I was bad off. Get yourself in for a lithotripsy-- or at least an Rx for Demerol.

So it looks like the apocalypse is a bust again. Well, on the bright side, my bomb shelter is stocked with enough Cinnamon Pop Tarts to last me the rest of my life.

Yeah, I know. As far as I know, it's been posted upthread, but I really like that version. I like that it has more energy to it. :)

Italian cover of the R.E.M. song by rock musician Luciano Ligabue. Title: "A che ora รจ la fine del mondo" (What's the time for the end of the world).

    I think it's pretty neat.

It's like Batboy mated with one of Santa's elves and then the offspring took a hit of acid.
