Just read this thread for the first time - wonderful that it's worked out so well! Happy Christmas everyone!
I got a wonderful gift from Kestra! Loose fruity tea from Teavana, a bag of unique coffee (which I tried already and it's delicious!), and a hand-made mug with a Harry Potter quote! I lost my cell phone recently and my iPad isn't charged, so can't post pictures right now, but I will be sure to post some tomorrow! Thanks youuuu Kestra!
I'm glad you liked it! I tried to do Slytherin colors on the mug without making it too dark. Also glad you liked the coffee as I knew it was a bit of a risk, but wanted to give you something local and different. Merry Christmas!
Thanks, Pondwater. I finally opened them on Wednesday evening. Had to work yesterday and did not get home until late, so was not able to do pictures then. Awesome gift!
I apologize for being a bit late to the party! I have been out of town. I was very happy to receive a CD and fingerless gloves from Captain Ice! Thank you very much! I will get great use out of the gloves in my office. And I had been wanting this CD for some time (yes I still use CDs!). And Saturnalia, aka Pondwater, I'm very glad that you like the knitting needle case. Merry Christmas everyone!
I got some cool stuff from my Secret Santa. Sorry I'm a little late to the thread. I'll post pictures later today. My SS gave me a stainless steel NCC-1701 pizza cutter, which in person is quite a stunning work of art! My SS also gave me a novel called Etidorhpa by John Uri Lloyd. A nineteenth-century SF novel, somewhat off the beaten path, published as part of a series called "Forgotten Books." I'd never heard of the book nor the author. I like getting gifts that I never would have thought to get for myself and that introduce me to novel experiences (pardon the pun). I'm looking forward to reading this one! Thank you for these thoughtful and generous gifts, my Secret Santa... Robert Maxwell! Photos to come...
Yay for awesome gifts! And you're very welcome, Captrek! I knew you wanted the pizza cutter, and the book was something I picked because it's a bit unusual and I thought you might enjoy it.
