Before they can release it, they have to complete their project of locating and destroying every TOS recording of any kind anywhere in the world.

Uh-GREED! It's gorgeous without the lights. I still hope all that extra stuff (the lights and barcode readers) are deliberate dressings intended to be pulled off to imply a starship of a different timeline.

Oh man, so very true. There are several phrases (when applied to Trek) that we fans have developed an Pavlovian aversion to.

"cool"
"action packed"
"Willaim Shatner"

I haven’t been able to explore the site thoroughly yet, but some of the still shots that I have seen are pretty cool. When you start to see the behind the scenes imagery one can really start to get a sense of how much work went into making the movie.

And of course they have to say: "Big"... "action"... "spectacle"..."

It's all in what you chose to hear and see. Some want to see good, some want
to see bad. I personaly don't understand the latter but to each his own.

When you get home from the movie, all your TOS eps will be gone and you'll be happier for it. The time travelling grinch will make sure they were never made. HA HA HA HA HA!

That or you'll find Daniels from ENTERPRISE in your house or apartment telling you that the timeline has been changed and many of your DVDs will now have different images or even whole movies on them.

I hear much of the budget has gone to hiring Santa to help with the old Trek stuff disposal.
So if Santa can find you on Christmas, Abrams will get to your house eventually.
