I didn't know Reese Witherspoon made a remake of Heaven Can Wait. Was it any good? I had heard that Chris Rock also did one, bu I've never seen that since my friends, who know of my love for the Warren Beatty 1978 version, warned me to go live in a State where no copies of Rock's version existed. I guess that means it's pretty bad. Oh, and Randi, The Fifth Element?? Ugh. I found it painful to sit through that even once. Ironic, considering that I had been looking forward to it until I actually saw it.
It is available for the windows 7 phones, so I'll assume it's also available for Android. You are going to LOVE it. I still get a kick out of it every time. Well done on the sticks bargain, who knew they were so expensive! And for the topic: I bought a lunch for two hungry little kids, and three wood beed summer bracelets for myself - two mahogany and one black, planning to layer up and wear them together.
Well I bought myself today: Pokemon strategy book itunes card and two cds one being wynter gordons album
I have just ordered some war movies to give my son on his upcoming birthday. I got him Sink the Bismarck Kelly's Heroes Tora, Tora, Tora Reach for the Sky
If you have to watch war-films, those are the ones to watch (Plus, of course, Apocalypse Now (the 'Redux' version) and The Deer hunter).
I had a difficult time deciding whether to buy "Reach for the Sky" or "12 O'Clock High". I think that 12 O'Clock is probably a better movie but my son has seen it before and has never seen "Reach for the Sky". I will buy him 12 O'Clock for Xmas. My son thinks that classic war movies are better than the more modern war movies.
oh, joy of joys. In the post today I received my copy of Outrage by Arnaldur Indridason who is my favourite author. It is crime mystery set in Iceland. In the next few days I should also be receiving the latest books (or rather the latest translated into English) by Karin Fossum and Johan Theorin so in July will be a good month for me as far as Scandinavian crime fiction is concerned.
I didn't know there was a Reese Witherspoon version either. Not that i want to see it. NOTHING (in my opinion) could be better than the Beatty one. God i love that movie. Heh, yeah, i'll agree The Fifth Element isn't the greatest movie ever made. I just really really love Bruce Willis. Although that "musical" movie he made is pure dreck, and i'll NEVER own that one! LOLOL! That was hilarious!!!!! I went to the mall late yesterday afternoon because i had gotten a $10 off coupon at Bath & Body Works. Turned out not only did i have that $10 off, they had a buy 3 get 2 free sale, so i got a ton of Warm Vanilla Sugar lotion and other stuff that i LOVE! On my way out to the car i went through Macy's. This dress caught my eye and as much as i HATE trying on clothes i had to try it on. It looked GREAT (a very rare happening) so i had to get it. It was marked $44, but it was 50% off. Since i used my Macy's card i got another 20% off. And since it had been 3 years since i last used my Macy's card, it was no longer valid, so they had to issue me a new card.......getting me ANOTHER 20% off. The dress ended up being like $17. I danced all the way out to the car!
And Platoon. Don't forget Platoon. Otherwise, a wonderful list. I love Kelly's Heroes. What a great movie! Excellent picks, Miss Chicken!
Just booked a week at an all-inclusive in the Dominican for this winter! Pretty excited about that, should be enjoying Mai Tais on the beach in the sun right about when we get our first real snow of the winter here
