^If the next movie is the Spock/Uhura vs. Spock/Kirk olympics, count me in. That just means more Spock for me. :D

Actually, Spock/Uhura Fan, I wasn't replying directly to you. . . if you read my post correctly, it is a reply to The Wormhole, who had quoted you in his post and had replied: "Yeah, that's basically what gets to me. We constantly have Abrams and his cohorts in interviews going on "this movie is so awesome and epic and game changing and mind blowing and amazing. But we're not telling you anymore." Why bother to tell us even that much if yo're not going to deliver anything more concrete?"

And also, I used the word "whinging," not "whining". . .there is a difference (and yes, whinge is a real word). . . ;)

Okay, so you replied to him agreeing with me. I'd say that's about the same thing as replying, at least in part, to me too.

Maybe it's changed, but the last time I checked, the synonym for "whinge" was "whine." ;)

I'm ready to move on now.

I think I just got interested in sport!

Can we have the original uniform of the Olympics?

Good! I hate it when they give away the ending.

And thankfully, we're currently nowhere near that.

RAMA your avatar is gorgeous. It's a perfect symmetry of color and tech.

If I remember right, the first big trailer for Star Trek XI came out with James Bond Quantum of Solace around October 2008. This was already well after the movie was pushed back from Dec 08 to May 09.

So, if they follow a similar time frame this time you'd think we'd get a trailer Oct or Nov.

I don't understand that myself. I mean, isn't it more fun to just sit in the cinema, having no clue as to what the F is going to happen, except for things we saw from the trailer, which will be released soon enough?

The longer nothing is released, the funnier this thread is going to get.

I'm sure you're right. While I'm confident that the film will be a lot of fun, I suspect it won't be nearly as entertaining as watching fans losing their sh!t here over not being adequately spoon-fed and catered to by JJ & crew.

    It's gonna be Comedy Gold!:guffaw:

I'm a customer, JJ is my supplier. I want what I want, I want it now and I'm not cool with all his noncing and secrecy.

I pay that bitch's wages for Christsake!

    Now give it to me.

    :-)

Sometimes I really miss the days before the internet. Most of us probably wouldn't even know that a new Trek movie was being made at all.

Works for me. I've never understood why some people feel entitled to spoilers.
