Happy to hear about the Spader casting. I'm not very familiar with Ultron so I can't judge him in relation to the comics, but he's a good actor so that's enough for me.

 

Spader is awesome. This is great casting news.

 

And then, when Ultron appears on Agents of SHIELD, they can get Michael Shanks to take over the role!

Less Than Zero is pretty good, very dramatic

 

I'd recommend Boston Legal (which has the bonus of Shatner too) and Secretary (assuming you're not shocked by a bit of bondage). I believe he was very good in Lincoln and in The Office, but I haven't seen either.

The show they keep advertising on TV: "The Blacklist" looks like it might be a decent show, if nothing else it will have James Spader chewing the scenery.

 

^Yeah, a lot of articles I've read previewing the new tv season have said that's going to be one to watch.

Seeing as how it's a Hannibal Lector kind of part it's a good think he's eating the scenery rather than the guest stars.

 

That's one of my most anticipated series of the new season, mainly because Spader looks awesome in it.

 

I wrote it off at first because it did just seem like the network was cashing in on the Hannibal tv show. But the more I see of the previews I'll probably give it a shot.

 

A lot of people have been speculating that Ultron will be some corruption of J.A.R.V.I.S., but what if in actuality, Ultron is the ultimate final form of... Dum-E?

 

I could see the revelation scene now:

Tony: That son of a bitch. It's his revenge for all the arguments he lost.

 

I didn't realize that robot had a name.

 

If they were going to turn Jarvis evil, why would they bother hiring a new actor for the role?

I've always known the name of Tony's cute arm robot as Dummy. I like the history he shared with it, we saw pictures of it being around with Tony when still in college in IM1.

 

I think the implication is that the "Dummy" robot was Tony's very first invention. Which explains why he kept it around all these years. He even bothered recovering Dummy from the ruins of his home at the very end of Iron Man 3.
