I never doubted it was sincere. Berlanti is clearly a huge DC fan and loves building an interconnected DC universe on TV, so it's perfectly in character for him to want to connect to Constantine.

Hey, imagine if John Constantine becomes the DC equivalent of Detective Munch -- bouncing around from show to show for years to come.

    Here's what I didn't know:

    * Emily Bett Rickards turns 24 today, July 24. You mean she's ten years younger than Stephen Amell? I thought Ollie and Felicity would be closer in age.

    * Colton Haynes and Rickards are an item, and Colton is 27.

All adults are the same age.

Why use that name if he's not going to be playing a Neo Nazi?

    The latest from Marc Guggenheim:

    http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/arrow-ep-marc-guggenheim-teases-sara-lances-resurrection

Sara's resurrection will be covered in the first few episodes of the season, and Guggenheim hints that the new Ra's al Ghul, i.e. Malcolm, will be behind it. I think I can guess where this is going. Malcolm was the one who brainwashed Thea to kill Sara, so resurrecting her may be his way of making amends, or easing Thea's guilt, or something.

That's so easy to do. I've lost count how many times I've done that.

Marc Guggenhiem has called Damien Dahrk the most all out evil villain they've done yet.(Scroll down past the Suicide Squad story for the Arrow one.)

"As centurion as Ra's"? I do not think that word means what he thinks it means...

Anyway, I guess with a name like "Damien Dahrk," the guy felt a certain pressure to live down to his monicker.

    He probably meant centenarian.

I don't think so. A "centenarian" brings to my mind an old decrepit man.

A "centurion" brings to mind an emotionally detached soldier, committed to his mission. IIRC, the actor/director Michael Hurst said or was quoted as saying (on a Xena podcast) that Roman boys had their empathy trained out of them, to turn them into perfect soldiers, Centurions who killed on command without remorse.

Seems like a "perfect" definition for Ra's al Ghul, too. The Leader who betrothed his own daughter to the man who usurped Nyssa's claim to power while she mourned the loss of her female soul mate.

Not a lot of empathy in that guy.

A Centurion was a officer in the Roman military. Not sure I'd go with a definition provided by an actor/director on a Xena podcast

A centenarian is someone 100 years or older. Part of Ra's shtick is he is long lived.

And a Centaurian is a bloke with hooves.

JR!, Ras was tied to the rotting corpse of his dead wife, secured into a small cage, and then bumped down a well with her for a week.

It was this experience that lead him to believe that overpopulation was a serious problem and that no one should have to put up with anyone elses company unless they really, really had to.
