Wish they were starting with something more interesting than hot hatchbacks... Oh well, I'm just glad they're back!
I've always wanted to do that in a supermarket. while the assholes who park their trolleys across the aisles were still in it.
^You mean you can actually get parked in a supermarket car park. I thought the rule there was to take up two bays with your car. Anyway not to bad.
Got a bit too ridiculous as time went on but Hammond's run through the supermarket (especially the ending of that) were hilarious.
That quad bike that turns into a jetski... and this... [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Bls1KKDwmo[/yt]
Good episode. Sometimes I think you can tell when they truly have passion for a car - the P1 piece was so well put together.
They've been doing 6-8 episodes a series since 2008. Series 10 was the last time they had 10 episodes to a series. Viewership has declined somewhat from the show's peak, too, but not catastrophically.
Looking at Netflix it looks like they have two seasons a year up until about 2011, then they start to get dragged out.
Also 6 episodes is fairly common for a season in the UK. As they can be as low as 3 (Sherlock) or 13+1 (DW)
I think the Olympics was the cause of there not being much Top Gear throughout 2012. Something to do with production staff being utilized for that.
