My favorite is the EMH, closely followed by Dr Phlox, and McCoy. For least favorite, I am tempted to say Bashir. But, since I havent finished watching DS9 yet, Im going to say Crusher.
My favourite is Doctor McCoy, and my least favourite would be Doctor Bashir. He's just a bit dull bless him. (I haven't seen much Enterprise so I shan't comment.)
Favourite is McCoy by a light year, and, although I don't actively dislike the character, Bashir is my least favoured.
First, let me state that I'd be pleased to be under any of their care. They are all fine physicians. So, based entirely on character and personality, I've always been a McCoy fan. You don't get much better than Bones as a character. He also had a passion for his work that was refreshing and comforting in a doctor. My least favorite was Pulaski, mostly because she seemed like a bad copy of McCoy.
Yea: McCoy Nay: Pulaski Though outside the box: Yea: Helen Noel (hubba hubba) Nay: Arthur Coleman (doofus)
Not nearly enough love for Doctor Crusher! Aside from a new silly episodes, she was pretty kick-ass by the end of Season 7 of TNG. I never got why they swapped her out with that single dimensioned Pulaski character. She gets my least favourite vote for that reason.
Short answer: Backstage politics. For the long answer, there are threads discussing it if you search for them.
Favorite: McCoy. All-around fine practitioner, an excellent surgeon, and one hell of a counselor. Least favorite: The Voyager's EMH. Aside from the fact I think it was stupid they went seven years without giving him a name--and him not accepting a name--other than "the doctor," I just personally found him annoying most of the time (he had his moments, but not enough of them for me).
Favorite: Tossup between McCoy and EMH. Least favorite: Bashir. I'm not counting Pulaski because she was only around one season so it's not an even playing field. I'm surprised not to be answering Phlox here. I guess he really won me over in season 3.
My least favorite is the EMH who helped the Voyager's EMH against the Romulans. My favorite is probably Dr. Crusher.
Favorite: McCoy Least Favorite: I don't know whether to say Crusher or Bashir. Crusher was just sort of bland and didn't leave much of an impression either good or bad. Bashir gets on my nerves sometimes, but he has his moments. He also gets extra credit for being the cutest doctor. I guess I'm in a small minority here, but I really like Pulaski. She could be opinionated and stubborn sometimes, but that's part of what makes her great. Some of the greatest character moments of the series were her arguments with Picard. If she had stuck around longer and the character developed more fully, she'd be my fave.
That's Easy: the best: McCoy. Khan likes a brave man. He calls Spock green-blooded hobgoblin. And he can cure a rock. "By golly, Jim, I'm beginning to think I can cure a rainy day." The other best: The Doc (EMH) The rest: Bashir, Phlox, Pulaski, Crusher, in order to worse Crusher is in the last place because she begot Wesley
