(Note: The title should have been 'Favorite Starship(s) from the Franchise'?)

Anywho, what is your favorite ship or ships?

My own personal list (in order) is as follows:

    *The original Constitution class.
    *The Abramsverse version.
*The refit we saw in the films, 1 - 3
    *The Nebula class.

Original Enterprise refit, and the IRW Valdore (which was pretty much the only good thing to come out of Nemesis). The former for being elegant, but still believable as a functional space vessel rather than something that just looks 'cool', and the later for looking incredibly cool.

I'll go with the Enterprise A. Since it apparently didn't have that monstrously huge waste of space cargo bay in the Engineering Hull.
But if I had to sit in the Captain's Chair and go into battle. I'd pick the Enterprise-E.

The new movie Enterprise. Awesome, inside and out. After having it as my desktop wallpaper for ages, the TOS version (as much as I love it) looks fragile in comparison.
Not so sure about the post-ID refit.

Followed by the 1701-A as seen in STV. Since I was a kid I wanted to see more of that ship, I loved the new interiors. Long before I understood that it was just a redress of the Jefferies Tube set, I really wanted so much for the camera to pan right in engineering so I could see the (purple?) horizontal warp core! Exterior-wise, the nacelle struts and neck look fragile in comparison to the new version, though.

Also the USS Newton from ST'09. A half saucer with two engineering hulls below and two nacelles above. It looks like a badass warship (or "strike cruiser" as one unlicenced model kit calls it)

Followed by decades of bizarro Federation kitbashes, which remind me a lot of FASA and DC comics Trek designs, and include the Stargazer and the ultra-weird ships from pre-CGI DS9 fleet scenes.

TOS-E (Still one of the most beautiful, graceful starship designs)
Miranda Class (A wonderful take on the Refit with a consolidated hull and two hangar bays)
Akira Class (A hunkered down and swept back version of the Reliant- looks mean as hell from almost every angle)
K'Tinga Class (Takes the great D-7 lines and gives then authority)

I love the movie era refit, but remember that somewhere inside there are still pieces of the original TOS Enterprise, whether they are structural elements, conduits, or maybe just the transporter pads and Uhura's earpiece.
