About time for a parody of new music from this guy: 'Tacky' The new ALbum, Mandatory Fun, comes out today.
I loved this guy in the 80's, but I don't know any of the songs he's parodying now. I'm really glad he's still at it.
Okay, here we go: 'Tacky'-based on 'Happy' (Pharrell Williams) 'Word Crimes"-based on 'Blurred Lines' (Robin Thicke) "Foil"-based on "Royals" (Lorde) BTW, here's the video to see instead of to link to: [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsWo8apgLys[/yt]
^ Oh, I could look them up, but the original songs aren't anything I would ever listen to. Al's 80's stuff was all based on songs I would hear all the time, so I "got" those. At least he's staying current.
Both of these are fantastic. The problem with modern-day Al is I haven't a fucking clue what he's parodying.
I really like his new album! Just got it from freegal (a MP3 site my local library goes through). Worth every cent. Will be downloading the last two songs from it next week. I don't either. Found out what they were for Mandatory Fun, via Wiki. Mandatory Fun songs Source: en.wikipedia.org
