As I'll be taking next week off, I thought we'd have a nice Holiday Special of our own. Who is your favorite holiday hero, the friendly face with whom you wish to spend your Christmas? Consider it a chance to choose your guy in your favorite holiday film. Feel free to add your own suggestion, and photo, if you like. Bing Crosby & Fred Astaire in "Holiday Inn" Bing Crosby & Danny Kaye in"White Christmas" Edmund Gwenn in "Miracle on 34th Street." Jimmy Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life." Cary Grant in "The Bishop's Wife" Alastair Sim in "Scrooge" George C. Scott in "A Christmas Carol" Patrick Stewart in "A Christmas Carol" Michael Caine and The Muppets in "A Muppet Christmas Carol" Bill Murray in "Scrooged" Colin Firth in "Love, Actually" Hugh Grant in "Love, Actually" Liam Neeson in "Love, Actually" Jude Law in "The Holiday" Vince Vaughn in "Fred Claus" Denis Leary in "The Ref" Bruce Willis in Die Hard Chevy Chase in "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" Billy Bob Thorton in "Bad Santa" Will Ferrell in "Elf" Tim Allen in "The Santa Clause"
Jimmy Stewart - always amazing! Bruce Willis - awesome! The men of Love Actually - I absolutely adore that movie! It's a new classic for me and the hubby. We have it on DVD and have watched it every year at Christmas time for the last several years.
Jimmy Stewart--can't get more Christmasy than It's a Wonderful Life Cary Grant in The Bishop's Wife. *sigh* Liam and Hugh in Love, Actually. Denis Leary in The Ref. This movie makes me laugh every time.
Jimmy Stewart-but more Harvey version Stewart. How do you not like that guy? Cary Grant-Man is that guy easy on the eyes. Bill Murry- Scrooged is required viewing every year. And you can easily believe what Karen Allen sees in him.
Jude Law - I don't know that particular movie, but he is the only really good looking, handsome guy in that collection.
For years my Christmas hunk was Clint Eastwood. They always seemed to show an Eastwood flick over the Christmas period. I have particulalry fond memories of watching Where Eagles Dare, with my father who is no longer with us.
Well, if you'd read the OP, it isn't just about looks. It's about who you want to spend Christmas with, from the list of Christmas movies. Oh, and let me add one entry completely from left fied: John Cusack and Oliver Platt in the dark but hilarious "Ice Harvest"
Why is Will Ferrell on this list? Anyone who is moronic enough to vote for him is automagically declared the biggest dumb-fuck dunderhead in the world. Fortunately, as of this post, no one has been that stupid.
Zach Galligan from "Gremlins". Had a MASSIVE thing for him when I was fourteen and "Gremlins" came out.
You know, I thought about that one. But I ran out room--only so many pictures per post. Feel free to add you own picture, though, if you like.
