16 year olds are allowed to drive automobiles.

This is how the world ends.

Not with a bang, but millions of teenagers driving cheap falling apart shit boxes drunk while sexting.

Or maybe Ktarians simply stop this faster aging when they reach a certain point.

Yes, like Klingons get to adolescence much quicker than humans but don't keep up that growth rate.

What? You disagree with my suggestion? Oh, come on now! Aren't they a lovely couple? :adore:

I think that Tom and Kes could have been a great couple.

    "Have you seen her face
her eyes reflect the colors in the sky
    A warm familiar place
    to be swept into
    When ever she's close by
    makes me wonder why
    Run by, don't turn back
Can't hide from that look in her eyes

Must be the way she walks
a style made up to capture all she needs
No time spent on whose fault
    If your luck runs right
    she might see you tonight
    anything in sight
    Run by, don't turn back
Can't hide from that look in her eyes

You'll find your locked in her spell
    all the sight and sounds
    Your senses will be found
    That only time will tell
how much love can mean to wait so patiently
    Wait and see
    Run by,don't turn back
Can't hide from that look in her eyes"

    RE: Ktarians aging

Its stated somewhere (I honestly don't remember where) that Ktarians mature faster but still have a life span in the ball park of Humans. Maybe a decade or two shorter, but do keep in mind, we have Humans living as long as 180 years (although not average) during the TNG era.

    Re: Seven and Kim

They were actually about the same age. Harry is only in his early 20s, as is Seven. They're actors were actually both born in 1968 at that.

the events of dark Frontier with the Hansen family started in 2353.

being born in 2349, that would make Kim 3 or 4 depending on the months in question

Seven was assimilated at the age of 6.

FRom point of departure to assimilation, was about 2 to three years?

they were exactly the same age physically.

You know except for all the time Seven spent in a maturation chamber ageing much faster than an ordinary human, and then all the time she spent with her development arrested... You know that she's had a seemingly 26 year old body since she was 10, and would have continued to have a seemingly 26 year old body for the next couple centuries, baring accidents.

    Individuality decimated her life potential.

Was regeneration in the cargo bay arresting her development?

Is it possible that during those three years on Voyager that Seven of Nine wasn't ageing?

Icheb certainly looked older in Shattered.

But regeneration would probably be propelling him towards 26 like a de facto maturation chamber.

It's really a question of how much the Borg, and Unimatrix Zero prepared her mind to deal with an adult like Harry Kim.

If Seven did not want to sleep with Harry, then she outunderstood human psychology and human nature and a child like Harry easily by making him run from too much of what he only thought he wanted.

If Seven did want to sleep with harry, and that was her approach, then she is an idiot child.

But what else have the Borg learnt over the last 900 years, other than if they offer someone the best thing in the world, they will run.
