Yeah, pretty much. Although in that shipyard scene, the model that was shrunk down was detailed to be 700+m (the workmen on the hull wouldn't fit on the exposed decks or walkways around the saucer). I'd love to see closeups of that CG model and the earlier version from the "under construction" teaser.

I love that Bird of Prey! Are those dropships nestled in the wings? Awesome finds.

Since this thread was last active, I finished my cutaway of the new Enterprise.

 

...But where is the aft nacelle with the life support system?

Those arcologies are fun, especially when ruined.

I thought they might be dropships too when I first saw it.
That BoP would have looked great on screen.

 

That reminded me of a line on Carey's DREADNAUGHT about a Bird Of Prey carrier.

Imagine a giant version of this releasing B'Rels.

 

Wow. Most of that looks better than what we got in the movie.

 

Oh, so thats where Star Trek Online got that idea.

That concept D4/bird of prey reminds me of the D5 class tanker variant from ENT: "Marauders".

This is fascinating! The Official Starships Collection Vengeance magazine features some new concept art, and a few details of the unseen or virtually-unseen weapon systems (Arcing phasers? Neutron torpedoes? Phaser balls of death?) and some info about the Vengeance's size - at one point it was going to be eight times the length of the Enterprise.

8 x the length of the Enterprise would have probably coincided with *that* poster of her being chased.

The phaser ball of death looks nasty, almost tryptophobic!

 

I have to pick that up.

 

Cool. Had to rewatch immediately. Spotted that drone sphere in the first exchange of fire after the ships fell out of warp. An interesting concept - but if the ship has only two of those, why did Marcus want to expend one on this soft and easy target that was not firing back? Or could they be recovered? Was this one?
