Got a few funny stares. Plus my day consisted of recording a few funny sounds outside on something that looks vaguely like a TOS tricorder, so... yeah. Fun times.
I was TOS red shirt, but nobody cared. I had to work too much that day, anyway, I mainly wore it to the store and then while walking my dogs. Next year I fully intend to dress my dogs as Star Trek characters, though. We'll be more noticeable then.
As we were going to bed the night before, I said to my wife (who was already in bed) "Hey, where's my old redshirt? Maybe I'll wear it to work tomorrow." She made an exasperated sound (which i hear a lot!) and said "It's in a box in the attic. You want it, go get it." Since I was mostly undressed, I decided I'd just dress normally for work.
I was going to go as an assimilated Borg, as you might already know, but got myself grounded and had to stay home.....
Wore a homemade Kirk uni with AA phaser, playmates retro tricorder and nu-communicator. Mismatched communicator was overlooked by everyone (except me).
