Check this out, its pretty good. Sure this will be better than the one we actually get.

It's completely different and really cool.

Better than the current one to be sure.

Pretty darn cool. The gears don't do much for me though and it all feels very cold and a bit dull. The face is also pretty unimpressive next to the rest of the sequence. A more diverse color palette would do it wonders, but the creator(s) deserve applause either way.

The Seal of Rassilon doesn't really fit-- how often do we see that anymore? and it's certainly not a symbol of the Doctor-- but other than that it's pretty good.

It's cool, although I'm not sure the point of all the clock themed stuff. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, but they usually go with the time vortex instead, which has clear meaning in the show. I can't say this is a path I'd want them to head down.

Wow, that's really well done, although I agree that there isn't much sense in including the Seal of Rassilon and the time motif is a little overdone.

There's a guy on Youtube called Xandercom or something that also does Doctor Who intros, and he did a revised version of the current 2013 one that BLOWS IT AWAY. He's very talented. Someone at the BBC needs to notice him.

He's also done a Capaldi intro but I think it's too busy, personally. But he constantly tweaks and improves things, so maybe his final one will be cooler.

    Anyway...

^Hell! You're right about the first one. Top notch!

Second one ... I could do without all the exploding rocks.

Up until last season I have seen the opening credits depicting the ecological collapse of the time space corridor used by the timelords due to neglect and a total lack of any maintenance.... It goes from cheap special effects, to cloudly to on fire to last season when his fricking face is emanating in space/time ruining my theory.

Really cool. Although the Time Vortex is the Classic look, I'm not sure about the complaints of the Clock gears, it's still Time being referenced, those it would be better to have the Vortex with the gears. And the Rassilon symbol, I have no problem with it, it's got an "8" for infinity and is a traditional Time Lordy symbol

I doubt this is official. The gears don't really work for me either.

Very well done. But, I think the watch and the gears are a bit much. It makes it seem like he ONLY has a time machine.

I like the steampunk vibe it has to it, but it's too full on if you know what I mean. Plus the theme is just a slightly remixed version of the 2005 one.

Of course it's not official? That's made clear in the first post?

^Well, "original concept" does imply that it was the first-draft idea of the producers. I'm still not clear on whether it's fan-created or not.

Eh, Original Concept, put up by a random Youtube user, rather than an official entity, no official announcement or anything official about it, the slam of "probably better than what we'll actually get", plus the complete departure from what was last used, it seems crystal clear to me that it's fan made, but, maybe I'm just being overly-cynical
