I really need to start taking some pics of edmonton. It's actually kind of nice looking sometimes. Also, Data, personally i don't mind a beard. However I've always liked them a bit closer to the actual face/neatly trimmed and whatnot. But that's just me, and I've been known to be a bit weird.
This past weekend my girlfriend and I spent three days camping out up in Yosemite National Park. She'd planned the trip a few months ago when she finally got a reservation for a campground, and invited me to go when things got serious with us back in the fall. Naturally, I took a few photos. These pictures are a fair attempt, but they pale in comparison to the actual experience of standing on those cliffs looking over the majestic park. Words simply cannot convey the sense of grandeur and magnificence there is to behold. I can't possibly recommend enough that everyone go visit, if they ever have the chance. "Perhaps 'because it is there' is not a sufficient reason for climbing the mountain?" "I am hardly in a position to disagree!" "Look, I'm trying to make an ascent here! Why don't you go pester Dr. McCoy?" We made it! Whew!! Time for a photo... Chromedome and Half Dome. "I don't know. I just don't know."
Some not so high quality pics! Herb garden is coming in nicely though it's time to start thinning. Pretty flowers at my parents' house (with an extra little someone in the pic).
Nice pics 005 my Dad worked in Yosemite Valley in 75-77, and it's a place that's special. Not much water in the river for the time of year, going to be a tough drought season...
Thanks guys! It was a real blast and we've already started planning our next trip there. As for chocolate dog, she was pretty happy to see us when we picked her up Sunday night: I'll see if I can wrangle a few more images for this thread later this evening.
doubleohfive, those are some absolutely gorgeous shots! Kes, more wonderful work, I especially love the garden shot (I like the view out of the window, too). Saga, I love the mountains and the clouds. All great shots, though! Australis, you look a bit like Lewis Black, only younger ... and a lot less angry.
Thanks everyone. @teacake, I don 't do the smile thing... except smilies. What I didn't include were the in-between shots, where I put on a stack of weight and had a stressful homelife, which showed. Hey ho, we live and learn, and what doesn't kill us and all that.
