I'm afraid I can't. A friend sent me this link a little while ago.

I suppose one could always call the number, though since I see it's popped up on Digg, it's probably been disconnected.

But if you do call them, well....

Yes. I'm guessing the joke is that the blood is "actually" kool-aid instead of blood! Or vice versa.

I don't know where it's from; not seen "The Shining".

I generally find that if there's a thread bomb I come across that I plan on sharing, I should probably at least make an effort to find out where it comes from.

Or, you know make sure its funny.

I thought it was "cute", but not funny per se. We've had one or two Koll Aide Guy ones here before, and I thought somebody here might enjoy it, OdoWan.

Well, La Mesa is just east of San Diego, and the 619 area code on the phone number confirms it. It seems a little odd for Republican country, but La Mesa used to be more isolated before freeways and urban sprawl and has something of a history of stubborn individualism which (apparently) persists today.

    Edit:

According to comments on a Flickr page displaying the image, that "vi ses snart" at the bottom is Danish or Swedish for "see you soon".

With your centaur on, one supposes.

    Republican country?

You make San Diego sound like some elitist haven. I spent the first thirty years of my life in the San Diego area. I was born in La Jolla, lived in Del Mar, El Cajon (Mt. Helix), Coronado (Coronado Cays) and then La Mesa (right on Lake Murray Blvd). And it wasn't all that stuffy. And while I started out at Grossmont High (not conservative at all), I finished up at Coronado High (which was mainly populated by officer's kids and was quite conservative), all during the Reagan Years. But if San Diego was a bastion of conservatism, how could a liberal school like John Muir College (where I went to school) have popped up?

San Diego is one of the most diverse places I know of... and as soon as I can get free from this U.S. version of Syberia and back home, the happier I'll be! :techman:
