So his eyes are kinda like Alice Eve's? Now I see why he was so jealous when Carol Marcus, I mean, Wallace came to say hi.

    Main question is.

Can both prime Spock and nuSpock cry out of the same eye?

    Of not...

This is not a plot hole; this is you thinking of random idiotic crap to complain about for no other reason to complain.

When my allergies flare up I typically will have one eye that gets red and waters up while the other doesn't. Clearly Spock wasn't emotional, It was probably just a cat rubbing on his legs during that scene, or maybe as he was running to Engineering he had to dash through the ship's flower shop.

There aren't enough tears to cope with such a thing in it's entirety. Maybe he glimpsed a thread out of the corner of an eye. The watery one. The eye, not the thread. There is no watery thread.

 That's pretty funny. Nice parody of fans taking things to the extreme to find any bit of minutiae that they can erroneously call a "major plot hole."

    Waaaaait a minute...

Does anyone know when the first use of the single tear was? I was going to say La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc, but a quick Google corrected me in that Falconetti had a tears in both eyes.

Oh, it goes back further than that:

Offspring of Lugalbanda, Gilgamesh is strong to perfection
And when he cries it's from one eye, and one eye alone
That's right, you heard me, one eye, and one eye alone
    The left one

I must be a plot hole because I cried out of one eye once.

I see. The "blame Iraq" card. How typical.

No, I'm pretty sure Ringo picked the plot hole up, saved it in his pocket for later, observing “I've got a hole in me pocket”.

Aw, gee - trumped by French silent film and Sumerian Lit.

And here I was, thinking we'd be able to pin blame for the Trail of (one-eyed) Tears on this guy.
