Seems like the right time since cancer has been a big thing over the last few month with Angelina Jolie and Pierce Brosnan's daughter.

My close relatives also lost a family member to cancer this week too.

If Jeri has cancer, I will personally invent a shrink ray, shrink myself, get myself injected into her and beat the cancer to death with a shrunken down crowbar.

To be honest, but maybe it's just my family since they all seem to get cancer...but who ISNT aware of cancer?

I can name at least 10 people that I was close with in my family including all 4 grandparents, my mother, and my aunt and uncle who all died of cancer.

    That said, good commercial.

Not to mention Iain (M) Banks and a long procession of ex-DW female companions. :(

Jeri Ryan's mother was a cancer survivor.

Despite our advances in medicine, the threat of cancer (especially more exotic ones like pancreatic cancer) and heart disease is still too apparent, when in recent too many good celebrities died of those ailments relatively young in their 40s to 60s.

I think everyone is aware of cancer. What a lot of people don't think about is what is highlighted in this PSA: the sheer cost of treatment far from home.

Most of us can't afford that lodging.
