Hard to tell much from a painting, but this still looks the MOST like the comic book Hulk so far.

^ I agree. Hulk is supposed to look like Ruffalo. It's hard to tell but I think this rendition has his hair...

Interesting that it's not the same artist throughout all the pieces (There are about 3 different people's signatures I spotted along the bottom).

I know it'll be awhile if ever before Spider-Man pops up in an Avengers movie, but I'd love some reference to him, like "What about the kid in Manhattan who can stick to walls?" "He's not ready...yet."

I never liked Spider-Man as part of the Avengers. I think, like Batman, he works best on his own.

Yeah, I tend to agree. I'd just like it if all these Marvel films were all taking place in the same universe.

I'll just keep daydreaming about Michael Fassbender as Magneto going up against this lineup of Avengers.

    That would be too awesome.
But I bet they're not even allowed to go that far.
I remember reading that Leterrier wanted to have un-named Peter Parker (the audience would know who it was) taking pictures of one of the Hulk battles, but Sony wouldn't have it. In fact, they wouldn't even let him call the univeristy "Empire State University" because of that same connection.

Agreed. Also, I think that it does look like Ruffalo. Impressive poster, anyway.

I love it too but the pic of Ruffalo looks like Robert Beltran from Voyager.

OMG, he does look like Beltran. I've looked at this several times now and thought, "If I didn't know it was Rufalo, would I know" Maybe this is partly why.

What I want out of this Hulk is one that actually talks and is a constant interactive character. That was the one thing TIH still didn't get right imo as good as I think that movie was. The Hulk is not a silent brute which is how he's been displayed both times.

I agree 100%. Ferrigno's doing the voice, though, isn't he? That would suggest a lot of grunting and not too much dialogue. I'll be surprised and disappointed if Whedon doesn't do something interesting with the Hulk's speech, though.

Apparently on the last day of SDCC the Marvel booth unveiled the uniform for Captain America in his present day uniform for The Avengers.

I just thought of an awesome idea of an action figure line. You have the core Avengers (Iron Man, Cap, Black Widow, Thor, Hawkeye) and maybe Nick Fury in a 6 inch line similar to DC Universe Classics or Marvel Legends. Then, you have the Hulk as the connect and connect figure.

The up side is that you have some nice detailed figures at a respective size to one another. The down side is if you are a Hulk fan and only wanted his figure.

I thought the connect and connect figures were just part of the DC line? I'm not up on my action figure news.

Marvel Legends was their line to do the "build-a-figure" concept. The line went for about 15 series, give or take.

^ Ah okay. Yeah...is that the line that had the build a figure Apocalypse option with one of their waves?

Regarding the "Avengers" concept art posters, out of the complete set by far my favorite has to be the Shield agents. I'm really insanely excited to see Maria Hill (as I no doubt have bored people with my constant gushing about Cobie in this thread) and I really hope we do get a "Nick Fury: Agent of Shield" solo movie green lit. I know that Sam Jackson has stated that they've talked to him about it and I think that Kevin Fienge has said it's in the works. I'd love to write that movie.

Marvel Legends is also coming back according to Comic Con

    Marvel Legends Wave 1
    • Iron Man Extremis Armor
    • Ghost Rider
    • Steve Rogers
    • Klaw
    • Constrictor
    • Thor
    • Hope Summers

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    Wave 2

    Armin Zola
    Bucky Cap
    Wrecking Crew (all character variants)
Madam Masque (madame hydra (viper) variant)
    Drax (guardians of the galaxy)
    Big Time Spidey (green/black)
    Daken (in dark wolverine costume)

I actually prefer the other extremis for the Iron Man Armored Avenger line. Same 6 inch scale just better paint.
