This looked like a good movie for the first minute, like a serious film about crime and drugs amongst the bodybuilding fraternity and then Michael Bays name appeared and the trailer went south http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEQ8jyvmYtw It could still be enjoyable though?
It's actually based on a true story, I read the artical that the movie is based on. There is a lot of opportunity for some serious funny stuff. Bay can be a very competent director when he's not making over wrought, set piece to set piece by the numbers blockbuster wannabes.
If my theater gets it, I'll go see it. Why not, right? I like the three main actors - Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson & Tony Shalhoub - and the trailer seems like it could be entertainin'. "I've watched a lot of movies, I know what I'm doing!"
It looks funny to me and I like both Wahlberg and the Rock when they're goofy. I had no idea it was a Bay movie, and I'm slightly curious to know if he's any good at comedy. His big actioners make me laugh.
