"Because I can!" was his justification for

 

this. To prove his point, he again

 

did it in a new pair of

 

chinos that he'd borrowed from the Captain

 

without the latter knowing about it, and

 

gave them back. The captain unsuspectingly wore

 

them and thought he was the one

 

who had one too many prune hypos.

 

He decided to fire whoever was responsible

 

for stealing his pants. "Wesley!"
"It wasn't

 

me! " said Wes with a whiny voice

 

"Shut up, Wesley!"
"That's not nice, sir."

 

"Get him off my bridge!" Picard yelled

 

"And fetch my Emergency Pair of Chinos!"
