Could you see it happening? I watched Sushi Girl and he was amazing. Hamill just aged really well, as far as i am concerned he is far more charismatic and magnetic at his older age as an actor. I always felt he lacked the gravitas to play mature Luke in ROTJ. I am surehe will do a greatjob no matter what his role is. If he gets significant screentime can you see him getting out of typecasting hell and getting some great roles on tv or even movies?
Define typecasting hell - he's got a long and extremely varied career of voiceover work over the past twenty-plus years, being certifiably one of the best in the business. Maybe not as visible or glamorous as TV or film work, but he's very lucky to both pay the bills and be respected for the work he does. Mark
Why do you think he necessarily wants that? He's an extremely successful voice over artist. And while it's hard work, it's probably better than having to be on a set 12 hours a day.
I listened to a podcast with him about Sushi Girl. He said he wants to be in more movies. I am not going to try to find it. You just have to take my word for it.
I believe you. I asked because a lot of times we as an audience have an expectation of how an actor's career should go, should be, whereas they might have their own ideas.
Absolutely no stereotyping in Mark's appearance in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtL6HZ81ymE[/yt]
I would love to have Mark Hamill's career. Aside from being a sci-fi/fantasy movie icon, he also receives high praise for his voice-over work, which is quite varied and lengthy.
I freaked my nieces out a little bit yesterday. We had Avatar: The Last Airbender on and I told them who was voicing Ozai! The eldest's jaw dropped. Mark does amazing as a villain.
