Fixed it so it'll go directly to the page. That space between 'Star' and 'Trek' was messing things up.

It's someone's transcription of the dialogue, though, rather than the full script.

That's a transcript of the film.

EDIT: Oh, M' has said that, all ready. Nevermind.

Huh, in reading over the lines, I've concluded that Pike must have *really* liked the Kelvin and George Kirk, or his dissertation was just that darn good. I didn't realize this the handful of times I saw it in the theaters, but he says almost verbatim what Robau says to their first officer before they go to the Narada: you're the captain now.

Sure, Pike's heroic, but something tells me now that he wanted to live up to that legend of the Kelvin, too.

Oh yeah, sorry a transcript. But I have been looking for the dialogue all over the Net and was happy to have stumbled across this. I plan on adding names on who said what but it was still fun to read. Film left my area finally so I'm feeling bereft, and youtube keeps removing the few clips people post. *sigh* too long til November.

There is a description of where the complete script can be found at TrekWeb. Search for "script" on the forums.

Dennis, where did you get that quote from Scott Bakula? Is there an article? Did he have more to say about the movie? Funny he noticed the beagle quote from Scotty.

It's on the second page of search results in your link, but the script can no longer be found where it was:

Oh, that's just fantastic! If any of us sat next to Bakula in the theater, who among us could resist the urge to lean over and tell him, "Dude, Scotty killed your dog"?

I don't trust you. Not with those shifty eyes and appropriately kick-ass afro. Not one bit.

You have to wonder if actual shooting scripts, blacked out parts and all will ever show up on something like eBay or another auction or in some collection. I mean hey, the first really successful Star Trek movie... probably ever. I'll bet every scrap from that production is saved somewhere.

Gotta wonder what they're gonna do when they start making the next movie, since it took nearly everything JJ had to keep production under wraps. And at the time it was only JJ Abrams fans and Trekkies, now you've got all kinds of new interest in that. Should be interesting to say the least.

Often, on these super-secretive projects, the copies of the script are individually numbered, so if one gets out it can be traced back to whoever is supposed the be in possession of it.

I happened to go through a bit of that script today....there are a number of errors which are pretty funny. But it was definitely helpful in getting some of the dialogue i couldnt pick up through regular viewing.
