Seasons last too long. As much as I love summer, these 90 degree days in September are just driving me crazy. I'm ready for Fall. I want to wear pants and sweaters! I want to turn my damn air conditioner off, which has literally been running non-stop for weeks. I've also been watching random episodes of TV shows, and some of them have been Christmas episodes, and dammit, I'm just ready to move on.
I'm guessing you mean 75F, which would be a decent summer temp for the UK at ~23C. That's starting to get uncomfortable for me unless there is a cooling breeze. I much prefer my tempature in the mid teens C. But then again I handle cooler temaptures better than warmer tempatures.
I am ready for warmer weather but I hope it doesn't get as hot as it did one day earlier this year - 41.8C (107F). I don't have air-conditioning.
We had a short but intense storm here Saturday, but otherwise same as you. Now, 2 years ago, we had numerous powerful storms in the Chicagoland area. That was a hell of a storm season.
I like to think the UK in general has four season A warmish and wet season (aka spring) A warm and wet season (aka Summer) A cool and wet season (aka Autumn) A cold and wet season (aka Winter)
Yeah, I'm tired of 95-102 F days. Its been starting out cool, if 76 F is cool, but then it just starts baking. And we're getting a bit of smoke from the Rim Fire by Yosemite. But winter will be here soon enough and we'll get tired of highs of only 48 F! Planning a vacation--London and Paris in May! I'm hoping the weather is nice, but taking a raincoat just in case!
I've been ready for cooler weather since May. Houston's seasons Christmas to February--winter. You will need a sweater. March 1-17--Spring. Blink and you'll miss it. March 18th thru Halloween--Summer. Stay the fuck inside. November to Christmas--Fall-ish. You might need a sweater now and then.
Chicago seasons have always been winter & construction. It might have been a joke at the time, but the Illinois state quarter really could've had a barricade on the reverse.
Waiting for it to cool off here in Kabul as well. I'm thinking by the end of the month it'll be cooler and probably mid November we'll start seeing snow on the mountains that surround out camp. Cannot wait for the first snowfall that reaches the camp as well...as long as it doesn't impede my flight out of here at the end of Jan!!
It seems like the entire state of California has been burning lately so I'm ready for the rain. It's also concerning how much rain we haven't gotten in the last year. Hopefully that changes this winter.
