Re: What If: Captain Riker of the USS Voyager

Picard should have stayed a teenager after Rascals.

I did the math once to work out if the distance between teen Picard and Beverly (measured in years) was less or more that the distance between old Picard and Beverly (measured in years) and the results (not that I recall them) were close?

(Not close.)

I honestly think if Thomas Riker had been in place of Chatokay people would have spent the entire show waiting for Janeway to get herself killed leaving the Captains Chair open for Riker.

That and there would have been two Tom's on board both being ace pilots.

I like the cast as they were some of them simply deserved a little more time to shine (and Harry needed an extra pip on that collar!)
I was hoping something would happen and Chakotay would make captain. Or anyone else...

Captain Neelix was a Captain the whole time.

I'm beginning to suspect that had Riker become a part of the VOYAGER crew, he and Janeway would've undoubtedly become lovers, eventually. To my chagrin! I'm certain that "they" would've served Riker thus ... and Frakes would've just gone right along with it, too, because ... he's an actor.

Re: What If: Captain Riker of the USS Voyager

I thought he was a director these days?

Oh look.

He directed the three episodes of Voyager that Wang wanted most to Direct.

- Prototype (1996)
- Parturition (1995)
- Projections (1995)

FRakes choreographed Neelix and Tom's food fight.

Awesome.

If Riker had been on the bridge, we would have had endless scenes consisting of his crotch near Paris' face.

You're talking like his crotch doesn't following us around the room like Elvis on Velvet.
