Sorry, looked through threads, didn't find the answer.

My copy of Kobayashi Maru did not have a COMING SOON tantalizing pic of the next book so I'm wondering when/if it's in the pipeline. Thanks :)

Is Martin going to be the sole writer working on the ENT relaunch or will there be other writers hopping on board as well? Waiting a year in between novels is killing me. lol

Heh, he's already not the sole author. Andy Mangels co-authored the first two books with him.

As to whether or not other authors besides those two will write them is yet to be seen.

Thanks for noting that, Blizzard. I don't feel like I've been away for THAT long. And I was part of Trek lore before Mike was... in fact, I asked HIM to join ME as a co-writer. Thus, I got him his first published comic book work, licensing work, and novel work.

    Only if you're wanting to.

I was echoing the point that crediting Mike solely for the Enterprise relaunch — or for any of our collaborative work — was incorrect.

But why aren't you on-board for the Romulan War?

Can someone tell me what Romulan War is about? The title is a bit vague - is it about a peaceful first contact mission with the betazeds? That's my guess anyway.

    No no.

It's going to cover the difference between Trills in "The Host" and Trills in DS9 et al. An elderly Dr. Phlox teams up with a young Dr. McCoy find a cure for the Klingon Augment virus plague that's hit the Trill homeworld. :klingon:

You're close. Excelsior: Forged in Fire actually did mention in passing that the "Host"-style Trills were the result of an Augment-virus breakout (or a variant thereof) on Trill.

How many Trek lit books are there where the subject of the narrative is explicit in the title?

Tales of the Dominion war springs to mind.

I apologize for that Mr. Mangels. I didn't mean to have it come out that way. I fully realize that you have you have played an incredible role as a writer in the Star Trek universe and the awesome Enterprise relaunch. You're contributions to the genre have been fantastic. For that, I thank you and I look forward to more from you in the future.

I was just curious if the continuing Enterprise novels were going to be solely tasked to Mr. Martin. (I hope not, due to the production and release times for such an undertaking.) For example, Vanguard, DS9, and the TNG relaunch have had a multitude of authors continuing their stories which have led a to a more regular release schedule. I'm only hoping that the story you helped create, which fixed the tragedy of the last episode of Enterprise, receives steady and proper attention.

My apologies. I was just curious as to why Mr. Martin was working this one (Romulan War) alone. I thought you guys were a fantastic team over the years and enjoyed much of your work.

Hope to see you writing in the Trek universe again. Hope that Mr. Martin is able to carry on the quality of the Enterprise re-launch without you.
