Finally got the TV stand to setup our game/TV room in the basement. BJs was out of it and finally got it in stock today. I just finished putting it together and it looks great, now to set up the TV.
^ I did say September.... As for Opening Day: I don't like to travel that early in the year, anymore. Not after that time I froze my ass off in Chicago! The earliest I'm going anywhere this year is May, and that's Toronto (which at least has a retractable roof).
Just got plane tickets to go to NYC for that week (September 20-26). Fortunately I got nonstop flights both way.
^ 4 Jays/Angels games (May 18-21), one Jays/Mariners (22). I would have preferred to see one of my teams (Yankees or Mets) play there but this is the best I could do, scheduling-wise. Besides in the grand scheme of things, I am more concerned with seeing the city and the stadium than who, specifically, is playing... I just hope the Union Pearson Express is done by the time I get there. Last year, the cab fare to my hotel was like unto death. Anyhoo, more latestest purchases: a shitload of more plane tickets. Toronto, Baltimore and Boston.
I got 3 records yesterday 1) Styx - Equinox (EXCELLENT -- I HAVE ALREADY LISTENEND TO IT) 2) Genesis - Duke (I have been wanting this for awhile) 3) Pat Benetar - Precious time (I have this on cassette also) I do feel guilty however.... On my Styx Album is a sticker from a record store that used to be in town here and it has thier price listed... $6.99 and here I got it for 99 cents!! I do feel guilty getting all this beautiful media for almost nothing,I feel like I am stealing it/not respecting it!!
2 packages of breakfast sausage, 2 packages of pork chops (my doctor is going to love me), 3 cans of tomatoes and okra, and a Coke Zero.
I just purchased a Motorola/Arris Surfboard 600 series Modem. I got the SB6183 to replace my Times Warner Cable issued cable modem. I purchased it because I went to a higher speed of internet and I would need a new cable modem anyway, which they would eventually send to me. Secondly, they are increasing the price of the rental of the modem to $9. a month. I got this one pretty cheap, so in little over a year this new modem will pay for itself.
